Get a fab set of 4 vintage silver rimmed glasses from the 1960s. They are not round or shaped like true roly poly glasses BUT they do right themselves when tipped on their side like a roly poly glass. The top edges flare out on these retro glasses but the sides are rounded enough to roll back up.
They hold approx. 8 ounces. The silver rim is approx. 5/8” wide. The glasses are 2 3/4" high. Top opening has a 4" diameter.
The bold silver rims on all of these glasses are in nice shape. This is a really mod set with all 4 having no chips, cracks, or other structural damage.
Unmarked and similar in style to the barware seen on Mad Men, though I don't believe these are the authentic Dorothy Thorpe.
Why mention of Mad Men?
The main character of AMC’s “Mad Men” drinks from sterling-silver banded glassware that he keeps inside his Manhattan Avenue office.
Who was Dorothy Thorpe?
The roly-poly crystal glasses Draper sips from were designed by Dorothy Carpente
