This exquisite set of 10 hand-painted Russian nesting dolls showcases a detailed design Russian emperors. The craftsmanship and historical significance make this a valuable addition to any collection. Very unusual to get a set of 10 or a set that starts out so large. The largest is signed on the bottom shown in photo 5. The decoration is first rate. Each has a picture of the Czar.
The largest is 9.5" tall and 5" in diameter. the smallest is 7/8" tall.
Very unusual to have a large set of dolls in such wonderful condition, the largest has a little some indentations on the back, but they are not visible from the front. Other than that they have little sign of wear.
